March was an exciting month for Freedom Generation! Aside from completing the new look for our summer camps, we also designed and purchased a professional banner for various outreach venues. On March 7-8 American Opinion Foundation unveiled Freedom Generation to the InHome Conference in St. Charles, IL. The conference was attended by roughly 1,200 parents, children, and other local homeschooling leaders.

The Freedom Generation booth, which was staffed by AOF’s Executive Director Alan Scholl, and myself, was met with great enthusiasm as many of the attendees asked questions about our program and walked away with information on our summer camps and the new online forum at FreedomGen.com.

We handed out well over a hundred camper registration forms for our Midwest summer camp, which was conveniently only 75 miles away from the St. Charles convention.

Perhaps the most popular give-away item in the exhibitor hall was our hand-made “Smore to Go!” Each individually packaged “S’more to Go!” contained all the ingredients of traditional s’more, along with an advertisement for Freedom Generation. This unique handout served as a conversation starter for people passing by our booth of all ages, and generated several inquiries about our camp program by the convention’s organizers, as well as the Director of the resort where the convention was being held.

As AOF and Freedom Generation continue to grow, we anticipate our name to be recognized and well-received by many of the leading homeschooling conventions nation-wide. The St. Charles convention was a good first step in introducing our wonderful camp program to a number of potential campers and supporters.
